 Maryland Works

Maryland Works, Inc. is a statewide membership association with members from Western Maryland to the Eastern Shore that focuses on advocating and promoting employment and economic opportunities for individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment . Its members include non-profit community service organizations and individual workforce development professionals who specialize in creating workforce and economic opportunities for thousands of  motivated and qualified Marylanders with disabilities and the employers who hire them.  

 Our Services:
 
For Workforce Professionals
  • Regular printed updates to keep members abreast of the latest developments, resources and best practices in employment of people with disabilities and other barriers of employment.
  • Numerous professional training programs to develop and maintain a solid professional knowledge base.
  • A cadre of trainers covering topics ranging from accessing non-traditional workers to co-worker sensitivity training.
  • Public policy advocacy focused on advancing cost effective approaches to aid individuals in making the “work” connection
  • Numerous partnership and networking events to enable professionals to identify and work with their peers, the business community and government partners.

  For Employers
  • Access to a broad network of professionals, organizations and resources that can help meet their recruitment, employee assistance and retainment goals.
  • Help with processing tax credits.
  • On-site on the job training & Coaching
