Throughout the year, Maryland Works provides opportunities for our members to come in contact with key industry representatives such as legislative and state officials as well as corporate leaders. From our CEO Leadership Breakfast Series and Legislative Luncheon to volunteer recruitment initiatives and training programs, Maryland Works members can take advantage of a variety of programs that enhance their business and create new avenues for professional growth. Below is a list of current networking opportunities.
CEO Leadership Breakfast The CEO Leadership Breakfast Series began in 1996 as a means for member executives to come together in a casual setting and spend some time with legislative or corporate leaders. During this time, participants talk informally about industry issues and concerns, initiatives that affect their agencies and departments, and program opportunities with partnership potential for workforce development.
Speakers have included President & CEO of NISH, Robert Chamberlin, Secretary of the Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, The Honorable John M. Colmer, Secretary of the Department of Disabilities, The Honorable Cathy Raggio, Assistant Superintendent of the Division of Rehabilitation Services, Robert Burns. The CEO Breakfast has facilitated individual meetings and opportunities for attendees to have direct contact with these very influential individuals. The breakfasts are from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and we encourage those interested to register in advance, as seating is limited. Please register by calling Jay Stewart at Maryland Works, Inc., x 214, or e-mailing your registration to jays@mdworks.com.
